#1 Oh Da Chili
For those cold winter Sundays!!! Take 3 cans of chili beans and 1 can of kidney beans, mix with 2 cans of tomato soup.
Put fresh chopped tomatoes, onions and peppers into the mix. Mix in 1 packet of taco seasoning, dashes of chili powers, salt
and pepper. Add 2 pounds of cooked ground beef along with several slices of pepperoni. Mix all of this into a disposable turkey
roaster and cover with foil. On game day toss on to lightly heated grill stirring often until it’s warm enough to eat.
Top with oyster crackers and shredded cheese.
#2 Bear Down Jello Shots
This is what my crew is famous for. The peach/blueberry jello shots everyone craves. Simply make jello substituting cold
water with Everclear. Pour into plastic shot glasses and cool overnight. Ohh those peach shots are calling my name!!!!
#3Old Style Bratwursts
A must have with chili!!! Keep the brats simple with a few fixings. Boil them hogs in Old Style Beer the greatest beer
of all time. Brown on the grill come game day, serve on a roll with kraut, fresh tomatoes and hot mustard. Damn it, now I
am hungry!
#4 Nachos Dip
The only chip dip you will ever want again. Take a casserole dish and fill the bottom with sour cream mixed with taco seasoning.
Stack it with cooked shredded chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sliced peppers. Eat with Lime Tostitos. And Corona!
#5 Jakes Famous Ribeyes
They are only famous because they made me fat. The only tips I have for a ribeye is pick it fresh from a butcher shop,
cook it on a charcoal grill, and smother it with onions and fresh garlic. Toss some spray butter on it to keep it from drying
out. Eat like you haven’t had in a long time, just like being married!!!
#6 Da Poober BBQ Chicken
Justin has them at every game. Simply take a thawed chicken breast and put it in a zip lock bag filled with your favorite
BBQ sauce overnight. On game day cook it on a charcoal grill. You know there good when Justin’s face is smothered with
BBQ. I like to add, you guessed it onions and fresh garlic olive oil to my mix.
#7 5 Tailgating Must Haves!!!
The party isn’t a party without Ice, Captain Morgan and Coke, Pepper Cheese, Deer Salami, Ritz Crackers, Beer, Cards,
Napkins, Utensils, Garbage sacks, Beer, Bacardi O and shot glasses, Cups, Plates, Beer and for the ride home gum and Advil.
Ok that’s more than 5, but I can’t count that high some times so lay off.
#8 Rabbit Food
Sometimes the women attend the games so you have to have the following. Salads. I prefer a large bowl of mixed greens,
cheese, shredded carrots, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons with vinegar and oil stirred into the mix. Hey, at least you
make an attempt at a healthy tailgate party. Sort of.
#9 Tri Tip Dip
Follow me on this one; it is so worth the investment. Go to the local butcher and buy this biggest damn tri tip roast you
can find. On game day cook that hunk of meat slowly, while seasoning it with Garlic, Pepper, Lowry’s and Salt. When
it’s ready get some instant AuJu sauce. And mix it in a disposable foil pan. Then carve the roast into slices. Take
a deli roll and pile onions and peppers on a large portion of meat. Then dip the sandwich into the AuJu sauce. This rocks
and would be #1 on the list if it didn’t take so long to cook.
#10 Butkus Burgers
Ok, cook a thick hamburger over a charcoal grill. Fix it however you like it. This is what you do when you are so hungover
from the night before and don’t feel like cooking. Serve with Ruffles and a pickle. Even Brady can’t mess up a
Hamburger!!
